With an IQ of 145, Peng (Eric Wang), a computer whiz, has won many awards since young. Favored and deemed as promising, he has been widely admired by his peers and goes to college on recommendation. Peng is a simple, persevering, sincere and integrated boy. Soon after he’s in college, he falls in love with a senior alumna called Yinan (Vicki Dong), just like the way most freshmen do.

Different from Peng, Nan was born in an ordinary family with bad relationship with her parents. She never feels secured since young, so she works really hard, always knowing what she’s going to do. After graduation, Yinan goes to work in Beijing, whereas Peng not only is one seminar year behind Yinan, but also has to stay at college for scientific research. Thus, they retain their romance by seeing each other through travelling by bullet train.

They are so in love with each other, regardless of distance. Yinan is busy with work. In order to take good care of her, Peng secretly develops an AI program identical with him. But, at the conclusion of the development, Peng dies of a sudden death in his lab.

Many years later, Yinan has become a serious and poignant female director. She starts to numb and heal herself with work. When she finally recovers, being ready for a new start, Peng revives in the cyber world and bursts in to her. Peng attempts to resume their love, only to find his former roommate Hao (Yifen Chen) is now Yinan’s new boyfriend.

Hao is an equally excellent student in computer science: he’s just not as remarkable as Peng, while Peng looked like a bane to him to some extent. After Peng died, Hao succeeds in his own business and has built adequate confidence to pursue Yinan. Now Peng’s revival seems to evoke the past, and Peng’s death seems to have connection with Hao as well…

Balancing between reality and programming, past love and backup, meticulous care and tight control, Yinan is moved by the program and gradually turns as lively as before. Deeply absorbed in such a relationship, will she fall in love with the program?

How pure and cruel is this unreachable romance going to be?
