From motion picture parodists Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, comes VAMPIRES SUCK, a comedy with real bite. After successfully skewering Hollywood¡¦s scariest movie (as two of the writers of ¡§Scary Movie¡¨), romantic comedy franchises (¡§Date Movie¡¨), Hollywood blockbusters (¡§Epic Movie¡¨), disaster films (¡§Disaster Movie¡¨) and ¡§300¡¨ (¡§Meet the Spartans¡¨), Friedberg and Seltzer are at it again. This time, they sink their teeth into today¡¦s hottest pop culture phenomena: vampires and werewolves. The setting for their story is Sporks, Washington, where something very strange is going on. Located in the conveniently misty woods of the Pacific Northwest, Sporks is a small town getting smaller by the day thanks to its rapidly diminishing population. Worried locals are clueless as to the cause of recent mutilations, the latest being Fisherman Sculley, who is found murdered with his blood drained and multiple bite wounds on his neck. Then again, they¡¦re oblivious to just about everything¡K which is why it strikes no one as odd that a local liquor store advertises ¡§Ice Cold Blood ¡V AB Positive 6 Packs On Sale¡¨; a homeless man holds a sign that reads ¡§Will work for blood¡¨; Vinny¡¦s pizzeria features food that is ¡§Hot, Fresh and Garlic Free¡¨; and the local dental office signage features a picture of a smiling mouth, complete with a set of fangs.
